Rezydentsiia
A hill overlooking the southern part of Velykyi Supii. Reeds, shrubs, wetland margins.
From the hill near Rezydentsiia there is a wide view over the southern part of Velykyi Supii. You can see how open water gives way to reed beds and low scrub along the shore. The rise is modest but enough to scan the water and pick out birds farther from the bank.
In spring terns and gulls wheel over the water, and grey and great egrets stand on the shallows. Ospreys and white-tailed eagles are often seen patrolling the lower reach. In autumn flocks of ducks and swans gather closer to shore, and kingfishers flash over the reeds. Dawn and dusk light make this a good spot for watching raptors.
Practical tips
- Best at dawn and before sunset, when predators are active over the water.
- The open view gives space. Movement is visible on distant shallows and on the water.
- It is windy on the hill. Bring warm clothing even on cool days.
Best season: March–May and August–October
